My hair compendium. What types of hair can you distinguish?

Hello girls!

Have you ever wondered why some of your cosmetics simply do not work? They might have been mismatched to the type of your hair. When reading my text, you will learn about wavy hair (type 3), curly (type 3) and coily (type 4). You will no longer struggle with precisely determining your hair type and selecting proper cosmetics.

WAVY HAIR

  • type 2A – The hair looks like the letter S and lacks volume. Usually, such strands are dense and have a natural shine. You should nourish them with Jojoba Oil or Tea Tree oil. For washing, you will need shampoos without SLS content, and for daily care – cosmetics to protect the tips and prevent frizz and static;
  • type 2B – The hair resembles the letter S and lay flat on the head. Under the influence of humidity, the strands can become static and frizzy. To make it beautiful, use taming products. For cleansing, use products with sea salt, honey and citrus extracts. A dry shampoo will reduce the oiliness of the scalp and add volume. Also, provide your hair with proteins in the form of masks made of eggs, mayonnaise and yoghurt;
  • type 2C – The hair resemble curls, it is rough to the touch and resistant to styling. To enhance the curls and get a larger volume, dry your hair with a diffuser. Nourish it with Jojoba and Argan oil, as well as taming products. Twice a week, use regenerating conditioners containing avocado or egg based oils.

CURLY HAIR

  • type 3A – The hair is S-shaped, but it is more elastic than wavy. It is easy to straighten and then curl. The strands are susceptible to moisture, so after each was, you should use styling and taming products. Do not forget about conditioners with amino acids or rice proteins;
  • type 3B – The hair is dense and thick and its texture is rough and dull. To create your favourite hairstyle, use cosmetics in the form of milk or creams and leave-in conditioners that block the humectants. For moisturising, use Marula Oil or Sweet Almond oil. If you want to cleanse your scalp, use products without SLS and silicone content;
  • type 3C – The hair is twisted and dense. To maintain the curls, use high-quality cosmetics and deeply regenerating conditioners. After each wash, massage in circular motions, which will lift the hair at the base and make it curl nicely.

COILY HAIR

  • type 4A – The hair resembles spirals or springs and is usually dry and rough to the touch. The strands should be treated with delicate shampoos, Jojoba oil or Tea Tree oil. You can also use Mango or Shea Butter for styling;
  • type 4B – The hair look is similar to the letter Z, the locks are tight and dense. If you want to maintain proper hair moisture, wash it with the CSC method (conditioner – shampoo – conditioner), apply cosmetic oils and taming products;
  • type 4C – This is the curliest hair, reminding the so-called afro. The hair is soft, very dense, but thin. For protection and moisturising use leave-in conditioners with a creamy formula. At night, put on a cap that will protect your hair against damage. Use anti-tangle products before brushing.

Have you, girls, found your hair type? And do you already know how to take proper care of your strands?
